What it was
NSynth Super is an open-source experimental musical instrument built around AI. It lets musicians make music with completely new sounds, generated by the NSynth algorithm from four different source sounds. A shared project between Magenta and Google Creative Lab, built all on the Raspberry Pi platform.
What I did
I helped product manage the later stages and the launch of the instrument at Google IO.
What happened
The instrument, its hardware designs, and its software were released openly so anyone could build their own. We worked with a number of musicians including Grimes.
